Adopt a Great Horse from Last Chance Ranch

Last Chance Ranch Animal Rescue, Inc. (LCR) is a public volunteer, non-profit (501c3) organization that rescues and rehabilitates horses and domestic companion animals. LCR is dedicated to promoting and educating the public to humane and responsible treatment of horses, ponies, donkeys, and mules (equines) and other domestic companion animals. It provides a safe and secure refuge for abused, unwanted or neglected animals. LCR rehabilitates their physical and psychological issues and places them into new homes where they receive the love they deserve. A follow-up program ensures their continued well being. LCR is also affiliated with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and the United States Humane Society and has educated and appointed two Humane Society Police Officers.

Tigger at Last Chance RanchLCR has rescued and rehabilitated hundreds of equines of all breeds -- old, young, injured, neglected, malnourished, abused, and forgotten – providing vet and farrier care, dentistry, nourishing foods, rest and lots of love. Rescued horses have gone on to enjoy new and improved lives that include riding, driving, showing, and companionship. LCR monitors the well being of all horses that pass through the facility.

LCR strongly encourages equestrians to consider adoption for their next horse. LCR has horses suitable for a variety of riding and driving disciplines available for adoption. As well as horses, mules, and mini’s ready to be you or your horse’s lifelong companion.

LCR also saves and adopts out a small number of unwanted pets. Recognizing that neglect, suffering, and death often occur through ignorance rather than outright cruelty, LCR educates new or potential owners of pets or equines on proper care.

Last Chance Ranch relies on the caring public for donations of money and time, encouraging people of all ages to come and experience the love and dedication a horse can give to a human.  Youth, troubled teens/adults, and mentally and/or physically challenged are all welcome as volunteers, who learn and are rewarded by the unspoken trust and respect a horse can deliver.

For the Horse Farms Open House: Last Chance Ranch will have demonstrations of horse training, barn fire safety, and equine dentistry. Visitors can meet and get more information on the horses available for adoption.
