Rainbow Ridge
Rainbow Ridge Farm Specializes in Safe, Family Fun

Rainbow Ridge Farm Equestrian Center offers training, boarding, and lessons in dressage, hunter/jumper and eventing along with some western pleasure and trail riding. The emphasis is on safe, fun and family-oriented activities with horses.

Rainbow Ridge’s instructors are experienced in multiple disciplines. Lessons are offered seven days a week from 8 am to 8 pm. All instructors train horses as well as riders, and can work with horses in all stages of training, from the show ring to those with trailer loading issues or in need of basic manners. Instructor and manager Virginia Ahlers completed Kenny Harlow’s natural horsemanship certification and won the year-end eventing award at the Bucks County Horse Park in 2009. Virginia specializes in dressage and jumping, starting young horses and restarting older problem horses.  The daughter of a veterinarian, Virginia has a B.S. in Animal Sciences from Cornell University and trained with Kenny Harlow, Melissa Simms, Bonnie Bonello, Lynn Laskowski, Ray Hunt, Buck Brannaman, and Dave Kluge.

Rainbow Ridge PhotoBoarders can choose from full care, partial care (owner supplies the labor), self care (owner supplies materials and labor) and pasture board, which includes hay and grain twice a day. The farm includes seven pastures, two rings, and a round pen. The 22-stall barn features a heated kitchen and bathrooms with washer and dryer, tack room and grooming and wash stalls.

A summer camp is offered and the farm will hold monthly horse shows beginning in May. Rainbow Ridge also has a therapeutic riding program for students with special needs.

For the Horse Farms Open House: Rainbow Ridge Farm will offer pony rides for $3 and15 minute lessons for $10 – no reservations are needed, just let the staff know you are interested when you arrive. The farm will also have live music, demonstrations, vendors, refreshments and face painting and games for children.
