This fall, East Coast Equestrianwill recognize those standouts through its inaugural Best of the East Readers’ Choice Awards, celebrating exceptional people, businesses, products, events, destinations and organizations. The free program is open to readers and the broader horse community. Categories will include: Horse Care and Health; Barns, Farms and Professionals; Tack, Apparel and Retail; Shows, Events and Destinations; Products and Services; Equestrian Lifestyle; and Community and Organizations. Nominations open September 1. Readers may submit favorites through East Coast Equestrian’s website, email, social media and the QR code accompanying this article. Eligible nominees will advance to the official ballot, with voting beginning October 1 and continuing throughout the month. Votes will be counted and verified in November. The winners will be revealed in East Coast Equestrian’s DECEMBER Best of the East issue, with recognition in print and across the publication’s digital, email and social media platforms. Winners will also have the opportunity to display an official Best of the East badge identifying them as a 2026 Readers’ Choice Award recipient. Advertising is not required to be nominated, appear on the ballot or win. Advertising purchases and sponsorships will have no effect on the results. The Best Of winners will be determined by reader participation and verified votes. Businesses and organizations are encouraged to register for program updates so they can receive important dates, ballot information and official promotional materials. Readers may also sign up for ballot alerts and suggest categories they would like to see included.
