August/September 2026 | EAST COAST EQUESTRIAN 8 Publisher’s Note Dear Readers, Two things of note this month: East Coast Equestrian would like to extend our apologies to Susie Lutz, DVM, the team at her practice, and Quakertown Veterinary Hospital. We’ve been erroneously running an ad that includes Dr. Lutz on the Quakertown staff. Understandably it caused some confusion in the community. We’ve since made corrections to those ads and wish them all the best. In this issue we have featured two stellar examples of lifelong learners and masters in their own right. ECE is aware of the inherent risk of equestri- an activity and supports safety equipment best practices, such as wearing safety helmets. However, we also believe we can learn from people who do things differently, making their own professional choices along the way.
