She began with Arabian horses, earning success in local and regional competition while helping recreational riders build con- fidence and connection. Through her business, Horse Connections, she expanded to serve all breeds, offering boarding and training in hunter, western, and dressage disciplines. A CHA Certified Master Instructor, Site Visitor, EWI Certifier, and Board member, Susan was named 2023 CHA Instructor of the Year. Specializing in whole-horse rehabilitation through integrative modalities, she is widely recognized for her workwith laminitis and com- plex hoof pathology. Founder of The International School of Integrative Hoofcare, Daisy mentors aspiring professionals while maintaining an active practice. A former Mid-At- lantic Regional Director, she helped establish the ADS Mid-Atlantic Recreational Drive at Fair Hill, Maryland. She chairs the ADS Pleasure Driving Committee and previously led the Education Committee, where she launched the online ADS Education Library and produced instructional harness- ing videos for new drivers. A recipient of the ADS President’s Award, Dana has earned Bronze, Silver, and Gold Driven Dressage Medals and competes in Combined and Pleasure Driving with singles, pairs, tandem, and four-in-hand. He trains and coaches riders in reining, ranch, cow work, and trail competition, and has led the Horse World Expo Trail Challenge for the past five years. His accomplish- ments include a Congress Open Level 1 Futurity Top Ten fin- ish, NRHA Top Ten honors, Mustang Makeover Champion, and Equine Affaire Versatile Horse and Rider Champion. After more than a decade work- ing in industry with PA FarmBureau, AgChoice FarmCred- it, and PennAg Industries, she returned to Penn State as the Animal Science Advising Coordinator.
