For more than a decade, she has helped develop Working Equitation along the East Coast, earning Top 3 regional year-end placings across multiple horses and levels. Holly teaches clinics, competes alongside her students, and continues her education with professionals in the U.S. and Portugal. With a foundation in Classical Dressage blend- ed with natural horsemanship, she emphasizes clear commu- nication and functional skill development through obstacles. Equine Program booth 608, 609 Dr. Erika Machtinger earned her B.S. inWildlife Conser- vation and Ecology from the University of Delaware and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Entomology from the University of Flori- da. Her research centers on biological control of filth flies in livestock and equine facilities, as well as integrated tick man- agement. Now an Assistant Professor of Entomology at Penn State and a Certified Wildlife Biologist®, she leads the Veteri- nary Entomology Laboratory, focusing on arthropod pests of veterinary concern. Dr. Machtinger has authored more than 30 scientific publications and secured significant research funding. His practice focuses on equine law matters including training and boarding operations, breed- ing facilities, nonprofit organizations, legacy planning, and civil litigation. Nate also has experience advising on the use of horses in film and live theater, helping protect both animals and owners. He graduated with honors from Liberty Univer- sity and earned his Juris Doctor from Penn State Dickinson Law. Licensed in Pennsylvania, Nate enjoys training horses with his wife, Jessica, and pursuing interests in cooking, me- dieval history, and chess. • Thur 2 PM – Legal Essentials for Equine Businesses (Seminar Hall A) Grace McDonald | Graceful Strides Mobile Massage Therapy booth 421 Grace McDonald is a Nationally Certified Equine Mas- sage Therapist and licensed human massage therapist in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Tennessee, and Virginia. Based in Fayetteville, Pennsylvania, she specializes in sports mas- sage, TMJ therapy, and biomechanics, with a keen eye for movement and conformation that affect function, mobility, and overall soundness. Grace works with both recreational and competitive horses, helping riders better understand and support their equine partners. Actively involved in the Junior Rodeo Circuit, where she sponsors several young riders, she is dedicated to educating and mentoring youth while pro- moting empathy, comfort, and long-term wellness for horse and rider alike. • Thur 2 PM – The Physical Mirror; Biomechanics of Horse & Rider (Round Pen) • Sat 1 PM – Identify Your Horse’s Needs Before Labeling Behavior (Round Pen) Michelle Miller | Wilson College booth 516 Michelle Miller discovered her love of horses through summer camps and soon began volunteering at a therapeutic riding center in exchange for lessons, setting the course for her career in equine-assisted activities. She earned a B.S. in Equine FacilitatedTherapeutics fromWilson College, with a minor in entrepreneurship, and became a certified therapeu- tic riding instructor through CECTH, as well as a member of CHA and PATH International. Michelle launched and ex- panded a therapeutic program at an established lesson barn before returning toWilson College as an instructor. She now
