The world’s oldest equestrian expo, EQUITANA, will return to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY September 25-27, 2020.

The new EQUITANA USA brings with it education and programming of many names and topics not seen at other trade events, highlighting trends and changes in the industry, a panel of Olympians, representatives from all disciplines, and much more.

Known as the leading international equestrian exhibition for over 35 years, EQUITANA USA brings with it a promise to be a premier event for equestrians and horse lovers during its debut in the Horse Capital of the World.

Highlights include:

  • Top education by equine professionals Cole Cameron, Laura Graves, Lynn Palm and Shawn Flarida.
  • Nearly 200 domestic and international exhibitors showcase products ranging from apparel to riding equipment.
  • Special guests include Hilary Rubicam Merrill, Stephanie Riggio-Bulger, Mikhail Proctor and more.
  • Kid-friendly activities including Breyer’s Stablemate Paintings, pony rides, and photo ops with fan favorite, Patrick the Mini Horse.
  • BraveHearts' Trail to Zero 20-mile trail ride through Lexington to help raise awareness for veteran suicide.
  • Bourbon tastings by popular Kentucky distilleries.
  • Equus Evolution will combine theatrical performances with equestrian power and grace to produce an evening show tracing the  horse/human relationship as it’s evolved from earliest man to modern times.

The first EQUITANA was held in Essen, Germany in 1972. Today the fair, held every two years, has 850 exhibitors and 200,000 visitors from thirty nations. An EQUITANA branded licensing event took place in the US from 1996-2001. The newest edition of EQUITANA USA will follow the design of EQUITANA Australia, which has been held since 1999 and which is the largest equestrian expo in Australia.
