Known as the place “Where Champi- ons Meet,” the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair celebrates its 130th year of world-class competition from May 20 through May 31, 2026, at the historic Devon Show Grounds. The oldest and largest outdoormulti-breed horse show in North America, Devon once again brings together elite equestrians from a wide range of disciplines for an extraordinary 12-day event. This milestone anniversary highlights not only the prestige of the competition, but also the event’s enduring popularity and cultural significance across generations of riders, spectators, and the surrounding community. Hunters, equitation, jumpers, Saddle- breds, roadsters, carriage driving, and coaching will all compete for a place in the famed winner’s circle in the Dixon Oval. From its humble beginnings in 1896 as a one-day event of approximately 30 class- es—held in a grass ring with judges and officials seated in a central gazebo—Dev- on has evolved into one of the sport’s most respected stages. Today, the show features three impressive competition rings, hun- dreds of riders, more than 300 classes, and prize money totaling close to $1 million. This year, elite athletes will vie for nearly half a million dollars in awards across multiple divisions and featured classes. Evening jumper competition begins Tuesday, May 26, and continues through- out the week withmarquee events includ- ing the $32,000 Jet Run Welcome Stake, the $32,000 Main Line Challenge, the $210,000 Sapphire Grand Prix of Devon, the $32,000 Devon Speed Derby, and the $182,000 IdleDiceOpen Jumper Stake.
